a little bit about myself

I grew up in Frisco, Texas, where I started making videos as early as the fifth grade. I was lucky enough to grow up in a playground of a town for any young would-be filmmaker. I took video production classes all through middle school and high school, made lifelong friends who are now working in the industry, and got to write and edit my first feature film by my sophomore year of college.

In 2012, I graduated from The University of Texas with a B.S. in Radio/Television/Film. It was at UT where I met my beautiful, wonderful wife Kendall, featured above (the dog, Walter, came later).

After college, I spent two years as a full-time Video Producer at Hillside Christian Church in Amarillo, Texas before tying the knot with Kendall and moving back down to Austin in 2014. I then worked as a full-time media associate at Austin Oaks Church in southwest Austin from 2014- June 2019. Currently, I am taking on video-related freelance projects full time. Though I enjoy taking on ministry-related projects, my freelance work is not at all exclusive to faith-based works.

The bottom line is that I love storytelling and I love making videos. As you'll see if you peruse this site, I've worked on a wide and eclectic range of projects. Narrative fiction, promotional videos, documentary stories, music videos, trailers, bumpers, you name it. I see video as one of the most unique and exciting forms of communication ever. I love the whole process, and no matter what kind of video work I'm taking on, I'm dedicated to telling the story as efficiently and professionally as possible.
